Just before Thanksgiving, kids at the downtown John F. Germany Public Library learn about the wild turkey: where it comes from, its history and its place in different world cultures. Afterward each child makes a turkey bookmark to take home. The hour-long program meets in the May K. Houck Children's Library and is recommended for ages 6-12, with registration open for 20 children. HCPLC repeats this program at many other branches through November and December.
