ChalkFest returns to Reston Town Center for a day of colorful outdoor art. Artists of all ages, from families and amateurs to invited professionals, turn the streets into an open-air chalk gallery, and visitors can watch the pieces take shape, enjoy live music and face painting, try interactive activities and vote for a favorite in the People's Choice competition. Watching the festival is free and open to everyone; families who want to create an entry in the chalk art competition must register in advance through the town center's site.
