Texas Parks and Wildlife Department – Lockhart State Park

A one-hour walk with a Texas Master Naturalist about the fascinating trees of Lockhart State Park and the history tied to them — a chance for kids to learn the secrets of the trees in their own backyards. The route is about 3/4 mile on moderate terrain. All ages are welcome and registration is not required. Wear sturdy shoes and clothing for the weather, bring water and apply sunscreen or bug spray as needed. Meet your guide at the Creekview Trailhead: take the first left after park headquarters, go past the campgrounds and park along the paved loop. Starts at 10 am.
