A free behind-the-scenes program at the Anita C. Leight Estuary Center in Abingdon where families help a naturalist feed the center's animals. It runs twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., through the fall. Registration is required at least 24 hours ahead. It suits preschoolers and school-age kids who want to see the turtles, snakes and other critters up close and help with their care.
