- Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks – Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary
Chuck Hatcher, Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary's resident otter expert, leads a 1–3 mile late-afternoon hike through the woods and along the marsh. Participants look and listen for signs of otters and other marsh mammals while Chuck shares facts about these animals' lives in the tidal wetlands of the Patuxent River. The program runs from 4 to 6 pm on Saturday, December 12, so it ends around dusk, when wildlife is often active; dress warmly and wear waterproof footwear. All participants must be able to walk 1–3 miles, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is through Anne Arundel County Recreation & Parks.
