A neighborhood Thanksgiving race in Pasadena's North Shore community, now in its sixth year. Both races start and finish at the community beach: the 5K run through the neighborhood at 9 a.m. and a roughly one-mile fun run/walk at 9:05 a.m. Strollers and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Afterward there is hot apple cider, donuts and an award ceremony, where winners have a frozen turkey donated in their name to a local food bank. All proceeds support the beautification of North Shore. Low entry fees make it an easy family outing.
