Discover fungi, 'the most important living things you've never heard of', on a guided walk at Pilcher Park Nature Center on Sunday, October 18, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The group hikes through the woods examining mushrooms and their relatives, from giant puffballs to crowned corals, and learns how to tell the deadly from the delectable. Dress for dirt, since the walk keeps eyes on the ground. Registration is required; the event page does not list a fee or age range.
