River Trail Nature Center in Northbrook runs a technology-inspired scavenger hunt on Sunday, November 8, with sessions at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Participants learn how GPS works and then use it to find spots along the trail. The program is free and open to all ages, a good fit for school-age children who like gadgets and maps, with younger siblings tagging along.
