A spooky after-hours evening for teens at Trailside Museum of Natural History in River Forest on Thursday, October 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. Visitors step into the shadows for animal encounters, explore the 1876 mansion that houses the museum, listen to live music and look for the strange wonders of the night woods outside. The event is free and limited to ages 13 and up, so it is a good Halloween outing for middle- and high-schoolers with their grown-ups.
