West Lawn Park on the Southwest Side throws a free Halloween party on Friday, October 30, from 4 to 6 p.m., with tricks and treats, games and costume contests. It is part of the Chicago Park District's Halloween in the Park series presented by Mars and is listed in the youth age group, so it is aimed at school-age children, with younger siblings welcome alongside parents. Come in costume for the contests. West Lawn Park is on 65th Street at Keeler Avenue.
