Light Up the Park is Parkway Bank Park's free holiday kickoff on Saturday, November 21, 2026, and the same day the outdoor Chicago Wolves Ice Rink opens for the season. Skating starts at 11 a.m. (free admission, $8 skate rental), and from 2 to 6 p.m. families can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus, ride free horse-drawn sleighs, listen to carolers and watch ice sculptors at work. At 5:30 p.m. Rosemont's mayor switches on more than 80,000 holiday lights around the park. The district's restaurants and entertainment venues stay open all day, and the rink stays open until 10 p.m. It is an outdoor event, so dress for the weather; the Rosemont CTA Blue Line station is within walking distance.
