Families design and carve their own pumpkins at the Belvidere Recreation Center on Friday, October 30 from 6 to 7:30 pm, and prizes are handed out at the end of the contest. The event is for ages 6 and up with adult supervision, so younger carvers work alongside a parent. The fee is $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents. It is a hands-on Halloween-eve activity for school-age kids who enjoy showing off their creativity; contact Jordan White at the Waukegan Park District with questions.
