Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences brings Pete the Cat to the stage of the 268-seat theatre at the Northbrook Community Center from November 14 to December 6. In the musical, based on the picture-book series, the guitar-playing cat takes his buddy Jimmy Biddle on a global adventure. The show was created especially for ages 2 to 5, though the park district says all ages will enjoy it, and the company's productions are performed by professional actors as an introduction to live theatre. Performances are mostly weekend mornings at 10 am and 12:30 pm, with a few weekday 10 am shows (November 18, 19 and December 2). Tickets are $18 through the theatre's online ticketing.
