The Park District of Oak Park and West Suburban Special Recreation Association host a sensory-friendly Halloween party at Cheney Mansion on Sunday, October 18, for families who need a calmer event. Children come in costume and can pose for photos with the Great Pumpkin, so bring a camera. Two one-hour sessions are offered, at 10 and 11 a.m. It is for ages 4–12 with an adult: every attendee must register and caregivers must attend with their children.
