A gentle Halloween option for younger children at River Trail Nature Center in Northbrook: a whimsical story-hike in which families follow the trail to solve a spooky (but not scary) mystery. Two sessions run on Sunday, October 25, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The program is free and designed for children under 10, who must come with an adult. Wear shoes for an outdoor walk on the nature center's trails.
