Ohio Village, the Ohio History Connection's re-created 19th-century town, holds an evening of 1890s-style Halloween fun for families. The centerpiece is a retelling of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and around the village there are fortune tellers, crafts, games, traditional dancing and the funeral parlor, where visitors learn about 19th-century funeral practices. Pumpkin painting costs $5 per pumpkin (cards accepted). The last 2026 date is Saturday, Oct. 24, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets must be bought in advance; children 3 and under are free.
