Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. holds the GM Financial Parade of Lights on Sunday, November 22, 2026. Organizers call it the largest illuminated holiday parade in Texas. After dark, more than 100 lit floats and parade entries move through downtown streets, along with high school and college marching bands, live performers and costumed characters. Santa and Mrs. Claus close the parade, which marks the start of the holiday season downtown. The parade is free to watch, and you can stand anywhere along the downtown route. Reserved Street Seats were sold separately from August 14. DFWI suggests making a day of it with holiday shopping, dining and other events downtown before the parade. The page hadn't yet posted the start time, route map or parking details when checked. Organizers say they'll add viewing tips, parking and route maps closer to the date, so check back before you go. Bring warm layers and arrive early for a curb spot where small children can see.
