The City of Aurora's Parks, Recreation and Open Space department hosts its annual Veterans Salute the evening after Veterans Day at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum at Lowry. Guests get full access to the museum's hangar of military and civilian aircraft and spacecraft, appetizers and refreshments, and live music from the swing-and-big-band group Bianca and the Fly Boys. It is a chance for families to thank veterans in their lives and for children to see historic warplanes up close while grandparents or parents who served share their stories. The event runs Thursday, November 12, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Tickets are $20 per person and went on sale September 30 through the City's ticket link. Bags are subject to inspection; no animals except service animals, glass bottles or outside alcohol. Guests who need accessibility accommodations should submit a request to the City's Office of Accessibility at least five days ahead.
