Denver Public Library's Montbello Branch invites children ages 0 to 5 and their grown-ups to a half-hour dance party on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Part of the library's Create to Learn early-literacy series, the session uses music and movement to show families how important, and how much fun, moving together is for young children's development; expect songs, freeze dances and plenty of wiggling. It runs Friday, November 27, from 2:30 to 3:00 pm in the Montbello Community Room, which makes it a short, free outing during the holiday break when toddlers need to burn off energy. Caregivers dance alongside their children. No fee is listed. Families needing ASL, CART or other disability-related accommodations can contact programs@denverlibrary.org or 720-865-1111 at least five business days in advance.
