Arvada's Fourth of July fireworks were postponed this summer because of Stage 2 fire restrictions, so the City is holding them on a fall evening instead. Food Trucks and Fireworks on Friday, November 6 is a one-time community celebration at the Stenger Sports Complex: parking lots open at 3:30 pm, local food trucks serve from 2:30 to 7 pm (the announced lineup includes tacos, burgers, barbecue, German food, coffee and ice cream), and a professionally produced fireworks display starts at 6:30 pm. Admission is free. It is an easy early-evening outing for families with young children because the show starts soon after dark rather than late at night. Bring blankets or camp chairs and warm layers, since it is an outdoor November event. The City says parking details, accessible parking and any road closures will be added to the event page before the night, so check it before you go.
