Children press real leaves into clay to make a textured pinch-pot dish with artists from EPIC Arts Clay Studio at the Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library. Bring favourite leaves from home or collect some around the library grounds, then learn the pinch pot method and how natural materials create patterns in clay. Dishes are fired at EPIC's studio and returned to the library for pickup about a month later. Designed for ages 4 and up; children 9 and under need an adult in the classroom, though adults are asked to let children make their own dishes. Each child must register individually. Wednesday, November 4, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
