An Early Explorers science session at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum for young children. Kids pretend they have just discovered an unfamiliar creature and learn what scientists do next: make careful observations, describe what they see, and use kid-friendly tools to measure a newly discovered 'monster'. Along the way they practice early STEM skills such as comparing sizes, recording information and using simple data to answer questions, building confidence with science tools and vocabulary. The hour-long program on Sunday morning, October 25, is designed for learners 8 years and younger with a caregiver and has a light Halloween theme. It is included with museum admission or membership; supplies are limited and offered first come, first served.
