The Guthrie's annual holiday production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol returns to the Wurtele Thrust Stage, in Lavina Jadhwani's adaptation directed by Addie Gorlin-Han after Joseph Haj's original staging. Scrooge is visited on Christmas Eve by Jacob Marley's ghost and three spirits who take him through his past, present and possible future, with original music and festive scenes of Victorian London. The Guthrie recommends the show for ages 8 and up; it runs about 1 hour 45 minutes including intermission. Tickets range from $36 to $161 including fees, with discounts for children 5-17; preview performances Nov 11-13 are cheapest. Accessible performances: ASL and audio description Nov 28 at 1 p.m. and Dec 3 at 7:30 p.m.; open captions Nov 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec 6 at 1 p.m.; a relaxed performance for patrons with sensory sensitivities or autism on Sunday Nov 29 at 6 p.m. ($32 adults, $16 children).
