The 14th annual Festival de las Calaveras brings a Día de los Muertos celebration to the Hook and Ladder and a block event on Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis on Halloween afternoon and evening. Families can see community ofrendas, a Bici-Katrina puppet bike procession, lucha libre, Danza Mexica Yollotl and a Cine Latino film showcase, and kids can join family art activities with Semilla Center for Healing & Art, the Art Book Cart and Bike-Alebrijes MN. Two stages feature bands including Son Rompe Pera, Tropa Magica, Flor Amargo and Making Movies, plus young Twin Cities artists; food trucks and artisan vendors line the block. All ages, 3 to 11 p.m.. General admission $15 at the box office, $18 online, $20 at the door; $10 at the door for kids and seniors; children 3 and younger free.
