Oakland Nature Preserve's November homeschool class for ages 6–8 explores food webs: from producers to consumers, students discover how every living thing in the preserve's Lake Apopka habitats is connected to the others. The two-hour class is taught on site with outdoor time on the trails. The same lesson runs twice — Monday, November 2 (10 a.m.–noon) and Thursday, November 5 (2–4 p.m.) — and families should sign up for only one. Registration required; 5 and 4 spaces remained on October 20.
