Nighttime jack-o-lantern hike on the Oakland Nature Preserve trails - bring flashlights and lanterns; costumes welcome. Sponsors host trick-or-treat stations in the parking lot and 'not-so-spooky' critters are out. This year it is a timed-ticket event with three time slots each evening (6:30, 7:30, 8:30 p.m.); onsite tickets only if slots do not sell out. Community members may also register to display carved jack-o-lanterns, and a Painted Pumpkin Patch is for young pumpkin artists.
