Organizer

Riverbend Environmental Education Center

Riverbend and Bird Town PA host a fall bird walk around Riverbend's preserve in Gladwyne, led by Phil Witmer, a birder and conservationist with more than 30 years' experience and vice-president of Bird Town Pennsylvania. Families have their own session, 10:30 to 11:30 AM, after the adults-only walk (9:00–10:30, ages 12+). It is free, but register one ticket for each person in your group. The trails are hilly, though not strenuous, and can't take strollers or wheelchairs. Wear comfortable shoes and layers and bring binoculars if you have them. The walk is part of Philadelphia STEM Equity Week.
