Ridley Creek State Park's naturalist leads free guided nature hikes on the second Sunday of each month from March to November, and adds extra hikes for special days, including Veterans Day. In this window the hikes fall on Sunday, November 8 and Wednesday, November 11, both from 9 to 11 am, starting at Hunting Hill Mansion, the park office. Walkers look at birds, trees and wildflowers and learn park history, including structures that stood when the nation was founded 250 years ago. Dress for the weather, wear good walking shoes and bring water and snacks; binoculars are a fun extra. No registration is needed.
