On the evening before Halloween, a Delaware Nature Society naturalist storyteller leads families into the woods at Ashland Nature Center in Hockessin for spooky stories told by flickering candlelight. Along the way the group keeps its senses sharp and watches for nocturnal creatures that are active after dark, so the walk mixes a little fright with real night-time nature observation. The tour runs for about an hour and a half starting at 7 pm, and the $45 price covers a whole family rather than each person.
