For October, Philly Mini Golf in Franklin Square dresses up for Halloween: players putt through miniature versions of Philadelphia landmarks decorated for the season. Families with young children should book a Daytime Tee Time (10 am to 5 pm), which is the more child-friendly version, with non-animated props and decor and no lighting effects, fog or spooky music. Nighttime Tee Times (5 to 10 pm) add animated props, spooky music, reduced lighting, strobe lights and fog. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children 3-12; children 2 and under play free with a paid guardian. Advance tickets are required on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, the busiest times, and weekday visits are quieter. Players in costume can post a photo from the course for a chance at a weekly Boo Basket prize.
