The Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run, which bills itself as the original festive race for charity, comes to South Broad Street on Saturday, December 12 at 10 am. Runners, walkers and strollers are encouraged to wear holiday gear and bring friends and family, and every participant, including kids, receives a shirt, jingle bells and a medal. There is a timed 5K ($45 now, $50 from November 1), an untimed 5K ($40, then $45) and a Kids Run for ages 12 and under at $25 ($30 from November 1 and $35 on race day). A virtual option lets people take part from elsewhere. Money raised supports the Arthritis Foundation.
