The Merriest Night on Sunday, December 13 is an evening Christmas run and festival at Timber Creek Park in Blackwood. Children 8 and under start things off with Daisy's Reindeer Run, a 200-meter dash, at 3 pm; the 5K through the decorated North Pole Woods follows at 3:15, and at 3:20 the Merriest Mile is open to runners 15 and under and walkers of all ages. Everyone finishes under a lit Christmas arch by the rotunda pavilion, gets race swag (free if registered by December 1) and a cup of cocoa, and can enter a festive dress-up contest. After-race festivities are included for participants' families; other visitors can buy a $10 festivities pass. Fees are $30 for the reindeer run, $32 for the youth mile, $25 for the mile walk and $42 for the 5K. The event is run by On the Dime Timing.
