On National Nut Day, Raccoon Creek State Park educators introduce Pennsylvania's native tree- and ground-dwelling squirrels: which species live locally, how they behave and how they survive the seasons, with specimens to see up close. The one-hour program is free but registration is required, and the exact meeting spot inside the park is emailed to registered attendees. A short after-school outing for children curious about backyard wildlife.
