Canby's holiday tradition on the first Friday of December: a lighted parade through downtown Canby at 6 pm that ends in Wait Park, where a lighting ceremony and celebration begin at 6:30 pm. Carolers, hot chocolate and Santa round out the evening, making it an easy early-evening outing for families with children of any age. Arrive before 6 to find a spot along the downtown route, or head straight to Wait Park for the lighting. The City of Canby's page gives only the date, place and times; parade route and parking details are not yet published.
