A one-hour guided tour of the Vancouver Trout Hatchery at Columbia Springs, focused on how the hatchery operates and how old the fish in the round ponds are. A staff member or experienced volunteer leads the group around the ponds and explains how trout are raised. Columbia Springs says the tour is open to all ages but the content is most engaging for older kids and adults, so it suits school-age children with an interest in fish and rivers. Registration is requested; groups of eight or more should email first. A $5 per person donation is suggested.
