Saturday programs for families at Riverside County Parks' Gilman Historic Ranch and Wagon Museum in Banning, a 100-acre site with the largest public collection of wagons, buggies and stagecoaches in the Inland Empire, a historic ranch house, gardens, a fruit orchard, a seasonal creek, picnic areas with grills and a 1.5-mile out-and-back trail. The 2026 fall activity list includes a combined Día de los Muertos and Halloween program on October 31 (10 am–2 pm), a scavenger hunt on November 14 (10 am–noon), 'Fruits of Gilman' on November 21 (10–11 am), and a Thanksgiving walk on November 28 (10 am–noon). These suit school-age children who like history, exploring outdoors and hunting for clues. The ranch and museum are open Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm, with day use at $6 per adult and $3 per child under 12. Program details are not on the flyer, so call (951) 922-9200 first.
