The California Academy of Sciences holds its annual SuperNatural Halloween party on the evening of Saturday, October 24, 2026, billed by the museum as a family-friendly fright night. Families in costume can trick-or-treat at stations around the museum, watch live animal demonstrations, meet 'mad scientists' showing unusual specimens, dance at a silent disco inside Steinhart Aquarium, ride a festive Halloween ride, get face painting and visit a photo booth. Older kids get their own teen lounge with games and snacks. General admission entry is at 6:30 p.m. and the party runs to 9 p.m.; early-admission and VIP packages add 5 p.m. entry, food and adult drinks. This is a separately ticketed fundraiser, not regular museum admission, so buy tickets in advance and check the Academy's age and costume policy before you go.
