Children's author Oliver Chin reads from his new picture book, The Discovery of K-pop, at the Walnut Creek Library and explains how South Korean popular music became a global phenomenon. After the story, children learn to draw a K-pop singer and can take home themed coloring sheets. The library recommends the 45-minute program for children ages 4 and up, and lists it for preschoolers and children 6 to 9. It is sponsored by the Walnut Creek Library Foundation; families who need accommodations should contact the library three days ahead. No registration is listed.
