The Coal Creek Family YMCA in Newcastle opens the Y's festival season with an early-evening party. Children can jump and play in a bounce house, twist and turn through the Adventure Zone maze, and go car to car for trunk-or-treat. It suits energetic preschoolers and elementary-age kids who want to play hard in costume. The YMCA of Greater Seattle's Fall Family Festivals are free and open to the whole community, not only members. Costumes are welcome, but adults may not wear masks or face coverings (except health-related ones), weapons and realistic weapon props are not allowed, and costumes should suit all ages.
