Tacoma's original Thanksgiving fun run, billed as a family tradition: a chip-timed 5k and a 3k run or walk through northeast Tacoma, starting and finishing at the Center at Norpoint at 9 am. The course is stroller- and dog-friendly, includes some well-known Northeast Tacoma hills, and walkers are asked to start near the back. Children 5 and under run free with a registered adult. Prices rise as the race nears ($35, or $20 without a shirt, through Nov 8; $40/$25 Nov 9–24; $45/$30 on Nov 25–26); register by Nov 12 to be sure of a shirt. Packet pickup is Nov 25, 11 am–5 pm, in Room 101, or in the gym on race morning; parking at Meeker Middle School.
