Animal Tales throws a holiday party for library 'party animals' at the Middendorf-Kredell Branch in O'Fallon on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. Six live exotic animal ambassadors — mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates — are the surprise guests. Participants pick a present from under a small Christmas tree; each holds a clue to one of the animals, and everyone gets a chance at a hands-on encounter. It is for kids from preschool through teens and families. Registration is required for every attendee and opens Oct. 24 at 2 p.m.
