An MDC archery class for homeschool families with children 9 to 18 at Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center. Instructors cover archery safety, how a compound bow operates, shooting fundamentals, maintenance and safe storage, followed by plenty of hands-on shooting practice outdoors. All equipment is provided, and participants are asked not to bring their own. Close-toed shoes are required and everyone should dress for the weather. No child under 9 may take part, and only registered children will shoot, so parents who want to watch should plan accordingly. The class runs 90 minutes on a Thursday afternoon. When checked, 14 of 15 places were still available.
