Can you clean up polluted water? In this after-school STEM Lab at Divoll Library in north St. Louis, kids learn the basic science behind water treatment and then design their own water filters out of things you could find at home. The session runs Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 4 to 5 p.m. and is aimed at ages 5 to 10. Expect a hands-on, possibly messy hour in a shared room; the library notes that STEM programs can involve smells and bright lights.
