Baden Branch Library in Brandywine turns its building into a life-sized, interactive Candyland board for young children on Thursday, December 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. It is the branch's first-ever version of the game: the board winds throughout the library, and players travel through places such as Peppermint Forest and Gingerbread Meadows, trying not to get lost in the Gumdrop Mountains or stuck in Licorice Swamp. The Playday is listed for young children ages 0 to 5, and registration is open through the library's online calendar for up to 20 participants. The branch is at 13601 Baden Westwood Road, Brandywine; phone 301-888-1152.
