Vienna has held a Halloween parade since 1946, and the Town of Vienna runs it rain or shine on the Wednesday before Halloween along Maple Avenue from Branch Road to Center Street. The 2026 theme is Haunted History: 250 Years of America, so expect floats and costumed groups playing on historic figures, landmarks and American legends. Children in costume may march without registering: families who want to walk should meet at 6 p.m. at United Bank, 374 Maple Ave. E. After the parade, kids can collect a free goodie bag of donated treats at the Caffi Field pitching lanes on Cherry Street SE from 7:15 p.m. Temporary fencing lines Maple Avenue for spectators, chairs are not allowed in the street, and wide road closures start in the afternoon, so plan to walk in.
