About this adventure

Late-season canoe outings on the Chattahoochee River run by the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell. The center bills them as one of the last chances of the year to paddle with its staff: groups paddle quietly beneath the turning fall foliage of the river corridor, listen for wildlife along the banks and see the river in one of its most colorful seasons. Each trip is a three-hour afternoon outing, offered on Sunday, November 1 and on the Saturdays and Sundays of the next two weekends. The trips are open to ages 8 through adult, which makes them a fit for families with older children who can sit in a canoe for the afternoon and help paddle; younger children cannot take part. Every paddler must be registered in advance, and registration for each date closes on the Thursday before that trip. The fee is charged per person, with a lower rate for nature center members. The trips start from the nature center on Willeo Road.
