About this adventure
A short ranger-led walk into Fernbank Forest, the old-growth woodland behind Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Druid Hills. Families meet a Fernbank Forest Ranger at the Petal Pod in WildWoods and spend half an hour on the forest trails looking at what is happening outdoors in late autumn, from fallen leaves and fungi to birds and other wildlife signs. It is recommended for children 6 and up who can walk the trail on their own, and it is included with general museum admission (free for members), so it slots easily into a museum visit over Thanksgiving weekend or the Sunday before.
