About this adventure
The Center for Puppetry Arts opens 2027 with Shadow Quest, a choose-your-own-adventure shadow puppet show by Mr. Damon's Shadow Puppets. A magical talking cloud guides a group of hot-air balloon travelers, and the audience votes on where they go next: one performance might drift into the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle, another back in time among dinosaurs, so no two shows follow the same route. Children help steer the story rather than just watch it, which keeps younger audiences engaged for the hour-long show. Recommended for ages 4 and up; tickets include museum admission, so families can visit the Jim Henson Collection and the center's exhibitions the same day. Weekday performances run mid-morning; weekend shows run in the afternoon.
