A Halloween-weekend night hike to find the critters that come out after sunset. Families listen for owl calls, search for creepy crawlies and learn how nocturnal animals survive on a 3/4-mile walk over moderate terrain. All ages are welcome and no registration is required. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes, bring water and a flashlight, and apply bug repellent if needed. Meet the guide at the Creekview Trailhead: from park headquarters take the first left, pass the campgrounds and park along the paved loop. If headquarters is closed when you arrive, use the self-pay station to check in. The hike runs 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
