Catonsville's Thanksgiving-morning tradition, now in its 22nd year, is run by the Catonsville High School cross-country team on its campus. Families can start with the chip-timed 1 Mile Family Fun Run at 8:10 a.m., a one-loop course where every participant aged 13 and under gets a participation ribbon and the top three boys and girls overall win prizes, before the two-loop cross-country 5K at 8:30 a.m. Because of the course terrain, strollers and pets are not allowed in either race. All proceeds go to the CHS cross-country program and the causes it supports. Registration fees step up as race day approaches; race-day t-shirts are first come, first served.
